Building a UK property portfolio for the long term

Damon Property Group is a privately owned residential property investment company, acquiring, improving and holding property across the UK.

We invest our own capital. We share the real numbers.

HOW WE INVEST

Three things, done carefully, for a long time.

Acquire

Residential property with strong underlying fundamentals, bought through direct relationships and disciplined analysis, never on sentiment.

Improve

Targeted refurbishment where it genuinely raises rental quality and asset condition, delivered properly rather than finished superficially.

Hold

Capital recycled through refinancing rather than sale, building recurring income and long-term equity instead of chasing quick flips.

OUR PROCESS

How a property moves from sourced to held.

01

Source

Direct relationships, agents and off-market introductions across UK residential markets.

04

Improve

Refurbishment managed on the ground, to a standard that holds up for a long tenancy.

02

Underwrite

Purchase price, works, finance, rent, end value and downside modelled before an offer is made.

05

Refinance

Revalue after works and release capital where the numbers genuinely support it.

03

Acquire

Offer, survey and legals, with build cost priced rather than assumed.

06

Hold

Let, managed and kept — income and equity compounding over years, not months.

FOUNDERS

Built by two people with very different skill sets.

DPG started with Lauren’s ambition to build a property portfolio and Mark’s backing to make it happen. Lauren leads sourcing, deal analysis, finance and the growth of DPG. Mark brings decades of business ownership and takes the lead once a property is acquired, supporting refurbishment, practical delivery and ongoing tenant management.

Alongside DPG, Lauren is an international marketing director and Mark runs one of the UK’s longest-established AV businesses.

LEARNING IN PUBLIC

Property investment looks much simpler online than it is in real life.

We document the process for that reason, publishing the real numbers behind it—the finance, the refurbishment costs and the mistakes—rather than only the parts that went well.

JOURNAL

What we're publishing as we go.
